Equipment Overview

This electric furnace is designed for melting and vitrifying glass materials and can be used for research and development of “new glass”. The furnace body is split in two and the furnace bottom can be raised and lowered for easy material loading and crucible replacement. A crucible of 1 to 2 L capacity is set inside the split furnace, and after melting and stirring the glass materials, molten glass is discharged from the bottom of the furnace. The discharged glass can be used for primary frit, plucking, or pouring into molds, depending on the purpose of the operation.

  • Dry grinding method eliminates the need to dry samples (optional)
  • Viscosity can be adjusted during molding by installing a temperature-settable auxiliary furnace in the glass outflow section (optional).
  • Optional plunger mechanism allows for optional outflow adjustment (optional).
  • Variable stirring mechanism allows degassing and defoaming during glass melting for homogenization and clarification process (optional)
