1943 | Shigeo Matsui established the privately owned Motoyama Shokai in Imai-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka, and began selling scientific and chemical equipment. |
1958 | The company was incorporated with capital of 5 million yen and the trade name was changed to "Motoyama Shokai Co., Ltd." |
1961 | A new factory was established in Kawasaki-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka, and development and production of electric furnaces and glass testing machines began. |
1969 | A new factory was built in the eastern industrial park in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture. Capital was increased to 10 million yen. Hiroshima sales office was opened. |
1973 | Developed and began manufacturing ultra-high temperature Keramax electric furnace |
1975 | Developed and began manufacturing the ultra-fast heating electric furnace (Super Burn). |
1978 | Akashi Sales Office opened |
1978 | The company name was changed to "Motoyama Co., Ltd." and the capital was increased to 12.5 million yen. |
1982 | New building completed, headquarters relocated to current location, 1-15-13 Tenma, Kita-ku, Osaka |
1982 | Minami Kyushu Sales Office opened |
1984 | Tokyo sales office opened |
1985 | Capital increased to 25 million yen |
1986 | Following the death of Shigeo Matsui, Yoshiyuki Matsui became president. |

2005 | Industrial Equipment Division acquires land adjacent to new factory |
2007 | Completed the third factory of the Industrial Equipment Division |
2007 | Acquired business rights of Kyoto Thermo Giken Co., Ltd. |
2009 | Completed the Industrial Equipment Division office building |
2009 | Opened Osaka East Sales Office in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture |
2009 | ISO9001 certified for the head office, industrial equipment division, and all sales offices |
2011 | Motoyama Holdings Co., Ltd. is established as a holding company. |
2012 | At the general shareholders' meeting, Yoshiyuki Matsui was appointed chairman and Akemi Noji was appointed president. |
2014 | Dissolved affiliated company Kyoto Thermo Giken Co., Ltd. and absorbed Morita Co., Ltd. |
2014 | Completely renovated the Industrial Equipment Division's 3rd factory and opened the Motoyama Test Center (MTC) and showroom. |
2015 | Nagoya Sales Office opened in Higashi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture |
2018 | At the general shareholders' meeting, Shozo Ikawa was appointed president and Akemi Noji was appointed advisor. |
2020 | Sendai Sales Office opened in Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture |
